My name is Jaclyn and I am the Maker/Owner/Chief Creative behind Hapi J. Designs. One of my passions is to make beautiful one-of-a-kind greeting cards like the one below.
A little about my papercrafting passion...
Dream. Believe. Create. Succeed.
These simple words have become my everyday mantra. Since recently teaching myself to make these beautiful origami dresses, the art of paper folding has breathed new life into my creative mind. Just like the crisp fall air that has finally made its arrival, this simple origami art has made me come alive again.
For many years, I found myself neglecting my artistic passions and dreams, and becoming increasingly sad. I had let the everyday adult obligations of being a wife, a mother, and a career woman override my inner creative self. But this year, I could no longer suppress my need to create and finally awoke that sleeping dream. So I found the courage and started my own small paper crafting business, Hapi J. Designs.
I love making handmade cards. Seeing that one of my cards has made someone else smile is reward enough at times. And yes, I pursue this maker's dream after the kids are peacefully sleeping and on top of my full time day job. It's been an adjustment, but I'm finding that not only am I beginning to feel real fulfillment in my life again, but my family is also happy to see me find my happiness.
So it's a good reminder that it's never too late to follow your dreams, believe in yourself, and create from your heart.
